Gilze-Rijen 2005 Airshow DVD was shot during one of the most exciting Air shows ever presented to the public. 100.000 spectators attended this unique Airshow on Friday the 17th of June, and on Saturday the 18th of June 2005 - 275.000 spectators visited the event. On the 18th of June 2005 the weather was clear and bright with temperatures exceeding the 30 degrees Celsius.

The Air show was professional and was with time and while history and future flew through the air on the airbase of Gilze-Rijen near Breda. A C-130J of the Royal Air Force, F-16's and Tornado's and a Spitfire and Lancaster of the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight were continuously busy to amuse the public with their acrobatic turns. The Red Arrows stole the show with their excellent flying arts, sometimes they flew with a separating distance of only two meters.
The Dutch papers of Monday the 20th of June were full of the Open days in Gilze-Rijen and it was not clear why almost 100,000 visitors more than last year visited this years Gilze-Rijen Air show.
